A photo shows the front of the Moon Drops Distillery building. On the front of the building, there's a sign that reads "MOON DROPS DISTILLERY." The building has dark vertical siding and a large brown double door with diagonal cross braces. Above the sign is a logo featuring a crescent moon with a face, and a starburst shape near the moon's mouth. The Indiana Blind Children’s Foundation is excited to have Moon Drops Distillery as the After-Party Lounge Sponsor at this year’s Through the Looking Glass Gala presented by Eye Surgeons of Indiana, which will take place on Saturday, Sept. 6 at the Embassy Suites by Hilton in Noblesville.

The image features a cozy industrial-style tasting room interior at Moon Drops Distillery. The space features exposed ductwork on the ceiling and warm lighting. In the foreground, there are four green upholstered armchairs arranged around a small round wooden table. Behind them, there are several wooden tables and chairs, including some high stools. The walls appear to be made of brick or concrete, adding to the industrial aesthetic.Founded in 2019, Moon Drops Distillery grew out of founder Mark Pressley’s love for making moonshine at home.

“He was doing this for friends and family. And then, one day, someone came up to him and asked if he was Moonshine Mark,” says Moon Drops Distillery Sales Manager Jeff Chandler. “This wasn’t even in the state of Indiana — it was in Florida. So he and his wife discussed it and said, ‘If you’re going to keep doing this, you’ve gotta make it legal and take it forward.’ The whole idea [for Moon Drops] grew from there.”

Since opening their Fortville tasting room in 2022, Moon Drops has quickly established itself as a force to be reckoned with, distributing product to over 500 stores in Indiana, including Total Wine & More, Kroger, Meijer, Walmart, and Big Red Liquors. Also of note, Moon Drops Distillery has partnered with the Indianapolis Colts and Indiana Pacers to produce specially labeled bottles with both teams’ logos featured on them.

A close-up image features several bottles of alcohol. The central bottle is labeled "LIQUID GOLD," with an Indiana Pacers logo. The label also reads "CHILL SHAKE POUR," "LEMON SHAKE-UP," and "MOONSHINE," with an alcohol content of 20% and a volume of 750 ml. The bottle has a black cap and a yellow strip running down the neck. Other bottles are visible in the background, but they are out of focus. Reflecting on how Moon Drops Distillery first got connected with the Indiana Blind Children’s Foundation (IBCF), Chandler says he learned about the foundation by being neighbors with IBCF board member Chris Munoz.

“Last year, Chris asked if Moon Drops wanted to participate and donate items, so we donated some items,” Chandler says. “And then, he invited me to the event. So I got to see the event firsthand and see our items up for auction. It’s truly top-of-the-line in terms of charity events that I’ve been a part of, and I’ve been doing things like that for years.”

Chandler continues, “The speaker was engaging. The cause was engaging. It’s not something where people are just donating money and walking away from it. Everyone seems to be really involved with what the messaging is and how they can help. So it pulled me in, and I think it’s a great thing for Moon Drops to be a part of and try to help where we can going forward.”

In addition to supporting a great cause, Chandler says the Gala provides Moon Drops Distillery with an excellent opportunity to reach new clientele.

“The people attending this style of event fall right in the wheelhouse of who our demographics are — people with disposable income that can afford bourbon or flavored moonshines and people who like the local aspect of things,” Chandler says. “So what better way for us to get our name out there as well than by being partnered with the Indiana Blind Children’s Foundation.”

The image shows a lively outdoor gathering with many people seated on lawn chairs and standing on a grassy area in front of a large black barn-like building. The sky is partly cloudy. Several tents and booths are set up, including a prominent blue tent with white text that reads "Oakley Distillery Gastro Pub." People are casually dressed, some wearing sunglasses, shorts, and t-shirts, enjoying the event. The scene suggests a festival or community event with a relaxed atmosphere.
